Websites for window and door companies
Window and door company websites that book the measure
Websites for window and door companies that book in-home measures and sell replacements honestly: a style and product catalogue, photo quotes, energy ratings quoted from the NFRC label, ENERGY STAR shown only where a product is certified, no outdated federal tax credit claims, and lead-safe credentials for older homes.

The short answer
What should a window and door company website include?
A window and door website needs a catalogue of the styles and product lines you install, a way to book an in-home measure or send photos for a quote, energy figures taken from each product’s NFRC label, and warranty terms linked in full. It should drop the old federal tax credit claims, which ended for installations after 2025.

What every window and door company website includes
A catalogue of the styles you install
Windows and doors are organised by style, frame material and room, with each card showing the product line, its NFRC ratings from the label and whether it is ENERGY STAR certified for the buyer’s climate zone.
Online booking for in-home measures
Homeowners choose a measure appointment from the slots you open, and the consultant gets the number of openings, the home’s age and photos ahead of the visit.
Photo quotes for doors and single windows
Smaller jobs start with a photo and a rough width, so you can reply with styles and a range and keep consultant visits for whole-house projects.
Efficiency claims that can be checked
Energy figures come from the NFRC label or directory with a link, and pages avoid unqualified “eco-friendly” wording or savings percentages that you cannot substantiate.
Warranties linked before the sale
Each product page links the manufacturer’s full warranty text and your workmanship warranty, labelled clearly, so buyers can read the terms before they sign.
Tax credit copy retired, rebates checked
Old “federal tax credit” banners are removed, and any state, utility or provincial rebate is mentioned only once you confirm it is current, with a date on the page.

How window and door companies get found in the areas they serve
Google runs the Business Profile and Local Services Ads programmes and decides who qualifies. We build the site and the area pages to Google’s rules and keep your profile accurate. Badges such as Google Verified (which replaced Google Guaranteed and Google Screened in 2025) are Google’s to grant, not ours.
- 01
Google Business Profile
Primary category “Window installation service”, with “Door supplier” or “Glass repair service” added only where they are real, your showroom shown if customers visit it, and installation photos added after each job.
- 02
Local Services Ads
Where Google offers Local Services Ads for window and door work in your market, Google checks licences and insurance and may award its Google Verified badge. You apply to Google; the site supports those leads with the detail they look for.
- 03
Area pages, not doorway pages
Pages for the towns you cover need their own substance, such as the housing era, common window types and recent installs there. Google’s spam policies treat cloned town pages as doorway abuse.
- 04
Seasonal demand and glass repair hours
Replacement searches rise before winter and after heat waves, and broken-glass calls arrive at any hour. The site switches its homepage message by season and shows repair hours that match when you actually answer.
Compliance
The rules for window and door companies, handled in the design
Window and door marketing lives on efficiency and warranty claims, and both are regulated: certification marks have usage rules, ratings must match the label, warranties must be available before the sale and the federal credit many sites still advertise has ended. The concepts are drawn to keep those claims straight.
Sources gathered October 1, 2026. This is how our designs handle these rules, not legal advice: rules change and differ by province and state, so the ENERGY STAR programme, NFRC, the IRS, the EPA or your lawyer has the final word, and you approve every page before it goes live.
- US
ENERGY STAR only on certified products
ENERGY STAR’s brand guidelines say the name and mark may be used only with certified products, must not be altered, and the partner mark is only for organisations that have joined the programme. Product cards show the mark only on certified models, and the site never implies the EPA endorses the company.
- US · Canada
Ratings that match the NFRC label
NFRC certifies and labels window, door and skylight performance, and U-factor, solar heat gain and visible transmittance figures quoted online should match the label or the Certified Products Directory for that exact product. Rating tables copy the label and link the directory listing.
- US
The federal window credit has ended
The IRS says the energy efficient home improvement credit under section 25C is not available for property placed in service after 31 December 2025. Sites remove “qualifies for a federal tax credit” banners for new installations and do not advertise the old federal credit at all.
- US
Lead-safe work for window replacement in older homes
The EPA’s renovation rule says firms may not perform, offer or claim to perform covered renovations in pre-1978 homes, and window replacement disturbs painted frames, without certification. Certified installers show it on replacement pages; others do not offer that work in older homes.
EPA — 40 CFR 745 subpart E, residential property renovation (eCFR)
- US
Written product warranties available before the sale
The FTC says written warranties on consumer products, which can include storm windows and similar items bought for a home, must be titled “full” or “limited” and be available before the sale, online through a clear link. Product pages link the full warranty text, and workmanship promises are labelled separately.
- US
Window financing ads and trigger terms
Window promotions that lead with an instalment amount, a number of instalments, a deposit or a finance charge must, under Regulation Z, also spell out the APR and the repayment terms. The financing panel says terms come from the lender in writing, subject to approval, with no illustrative payment.

Questions
Window and door companies: common questions
- How much does a window and door company website cost?
- A window and door website of up to 25 pages is $1,500 paid upfront, or $150 a month for 12 months, and it is yours after the 12th payment. A larger site of up to about 100 pages is $4,000, or $400 a month. Hosting and care is $29 or $49 a month. Prices are in US dollars.Product feeds from manufacturers, where available, and call tracking are billed by their own providers.
- Can my window website still mention the federal tax credit?
- Not for new installations. The IRS says the section 25C energy efficient home improvement credit is not available for property placed in service after 31 December 2025, so banners about the old federal credit should come down. Current state, utility or provincial rebates can be mentioned once you confirm them, with a date.
- How should a window company show ENERGY STAR and energy ratings?
- Show the ENERGY STAR mark only beside products that are certified, unaltered, and never suggest the EPA endorses your company. Quote U-factor, solar heat gain and visible transmittance from each product’s NFRC label or directory listing, link it, and avoid savings percentages you cannot back up.
- Can homeowners book an in-home measure online?
- Yes. They pick an appointment from the slots you open, add the number of windows or doors, the age of the house and photos, and your office confirms it with the consultant’s name. Smaller jobs, such as a single entry door, can start with a photo quote instead of a visit.
- Do window installers need lead-safe certification on their website?
- If you replace windows in homes built before 1978, the EPA renovation rule applies, and it covers firms that offer or claim to perform that work as well as doing it. Certified firms show the certification on replacement pages; firms without it should not advertise that work in older homes.
- How should window warranties appear on the site?
- Link the manufacturer’s full warranty text from each product page and show your installation warranty separately, so buyers can read both before signing. The FTC expects written warranties on consumer products to be labelled “full” or “limited” and available before the sale, which online means a clear link near the product.
- Will my window and door company website rank on Google?
- It launches with the technical SEO done: fast pages, clean structure, structured data, local pages and redirects from your old site. To keep climbing, a BOOSTD SEO plan from $149 a month runs 262 checks on your site every week, fixes what is safe to fix and gets the rest ready for your OK.No one can promise a position on Google, and we never do. Google warns businesses about anyone who does.
- How long does a window and door website take to build?
- About 4 weeks for a local site and about 8 weeks for a larger one, counted from the day we have your content, logo, photos and licence details. A larger site is planned with an advisor first, so its timeline is confirmed in writing before any work starts.A large product catalogue can be added in stages after launch.
- Can I get one of these window and door website designs?
- Yes. Each is a complete, ready-to-launch website design BOOSTD made for window and door companies. Pick one and we make it yours, with your name, colours, photos, content and the licence or compliance details your industry expects, from $150 a month and yours after 12 payments.Approved client sites are shown with a “Client work” tag, and only with the client’s written permission.
