Use case · Local business
For businesses whose customers are a short drive away
A local business is judged in the map pack, in its reviews and on the phone, usually before anyone reads its website. BOOSTD watches the business profile, the review stream and the calls every day, fixes the listing data that drifts, and prepares every public reply for you to approve.

Early access. BOOSTD is opening in stages, so parts of what this page describes are still being built. Prices and plan capacities are on the pricing page and nowhere else, so they cannot disagree. The same work is available today as Managed by BOOSTD.
You are judged before anyone opens your website
For a local business the first impression is the map listing: the star rating, the photos, the hours, whether the phone number works. Many customers ring straight from there. The website matters, but it is often the second or third thing a customer sees, not the first.
That changes what software should watch. For a local business BOOSTD puts the business profile, the reviews and the calls at the top of the list, and treats the blog as something to do only when those are in order.
What BOOSTD watches every day
- Hours, categories, phone number and address on your business profile, and any suggested edit someone else made to them
- New reviews on the platforms your customers use, with a drafted reply for each
- Whether your listing still appears for your core services in the places you serve
- Name, address and phone consistency across the directories that feed the map
- Your contact form, click-to-call link and booking page, tested so you hear first when one breaks
Storefront or service area: the first question BOOSTD asks
The two compete in different ways, so the work BOOSTD recommends differs from the first week.
| Dimension | Storefront | Service area |
|---|---|---|
| What ranks you | Distance from the searcher, relevance and reviews | The area you declare, relevance, reviews and proof of work there |
| Pages that help | One strong location page with directions, parking and photos | Service pages, and area pages only where you have real local work to show |
| What to watch | Hours, holiday hours and footfall-driving photos | Calls and form enquiries by area, and which areas are unprofitable |
The rules for anything public
Runs in Safe Autopilot
- Correcting listing data back to what you confirmed, when someone else changed it
- Adding local structured data and fixing broken links on your location page
- Requesting reviews from customers you have consented to contact, on the schedule you set
Always waits for you
- A reply to a negative or neutral review
- Any new area or service page
- Anything that states a licence, insurance cover or qualification, until you confirm it is true
Which mode and which plan
Most local businesses start in Safe Autopilot with review replies held for approval. That keeps the listing tidy without anyone asking, while every word the public reads still goes past you.
Launch is built for a single location with a handful of core services. Growth is the step up when you add a second site or a second area, or when you want enquiry follow-up and review requests running from a connected CRM. Photographs of real jobs, the relationship with regulars and anything to do with pricing stay with you; Managed by BOOSTD can take on the local work entirely if you would rather not approve anything at all.
Local business questions
Will BOOSTD reply to my reviews automatically?
Not by default. BOOSTD drafts a reply to each review in your voice and sends it to you. Positive reviews can be approved in bulk; negative ones always wait for you, because a public reply to a complaint is a business decision.
You can choose to let short thank-you replies to five-star reviews go out automatically. That is a setting you switch on, not the default.
Do I need a page for every town I serve?
Only for towns where you can say something true and specific: jobs done there, the team that covers it, local conditions. A page per town with the name swapped in is what search engines call a doorway page, and BOOSTD will not create them.
Can it tell me where my calls come from?
When call tracking is connected, calls are attributed to the source that produced them, including the business profile. Without it, BOOSTD reports only what it can verify and says so plainly.
