Privacy policy
What this site collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and how to get it deleted.
The short version
This page describes how BOOSTD handles these matters today. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. We’ll update it, with the date, once it has been reviewed or when the way we work changes.
This site is run by BOOSTD, based in Ontario, Canada. BOOSTD decides how the information described here is used, and is responsible for it. To reach us about anything on this page, email hello@tryboostd.com or call +1 647-896-7674.
We don’t list a registered company name, company number or postal address here, because none is published yet. We’ll add them to this page when they are.
We collect what you send us, and a limited amount of information about how people use this site. We use it to reply to you and to see which pages are useful. We don’t sell it. You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing hello@tryboostd.com.
What we collect
We collect two kinds of information, and nothing else at present.
- Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, company, website, and anything you write in a form or email. The main enquiry form asks for a phone number because what we’re usually arranging is a phone call. The free SEO audit form doesn’t require one.
- Information about how the site is used: pages viewed, the site that sent you here, approximate region, device and browser type, and campaign details if the link you followed carried them.
- We don’t collect special category data. We don’t ask for payment details on this site. We don’t run advertising trackers without your consent where consent is required.
How we use it and who sees it
- We use enquiry details to reply to you and, if you become a client, to deliver what we agreed. We use them for nothing else unless you also tick the box asking for our research emails.
- We use site usage information to see which pages are useful, so we can improve them.
- Service providers who handle data for us (hosting, email and analytics) see it under contract and only for these purposes.
- We don’t sell personal information. We don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing.

We collect these two kinds of information in different ways, use them for different things and keep them for different lengths of time.
What you send us
- Name, email, phone, company and message
- Used to reply, and to deliver work if you hire us
- Kept while there is a realistic prospect
- Deleted on request, at any point before that
What the site records
- Pages viewed, referrer, region, device type
- Used to see which pages are useful
- No special category data or payment details
- No advertising trackers without consent
How long we keep it and your rights
- We keep an enquiry while there’s a realistic prospect of working together, and delete it once there isn’t. You can ask us to delete yours at any point before that, and we will.
- If you signed up for research emails, we store your consent with the date and the exact wording you agreed to. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect anything else.
- We keep client records while we work together. After that, we keep them only as long as legal and tax rules require.
- You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
- Send any of those requests to hello@tryboostd.com. We’ll respond within 30 days.
- Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
Where we are based and which law applies
BOOSTD is based in Ontario, Canada. This policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. That doesn’t take away any rights you have under the data protection law of the place where you live.
