The short answer

What should a SaaS website include?

A SaaS website needs a homepage that names the job the product does and who it is for, a pricing page with plans, renewal terms and cancellation explained, and one clear path: self-serve sign-up or a demo booking. Add product pages per use case, docs, a changelog, a security page, and privacy notices that match where your users live.

Built in

What every SaaS website includes

  • A pricing page you control

Plans, limits and prices edited by your team, with the billing period, renewal terms and how to cancel written beside the buttons. No invented “most popular” badges, and no number on the page that your billing system does not charge.

  • Sign-up or demo, not both everywhere

We design around your motion: a self-serve trial path with the consent and renewal disclosures in the checkout, or a demo booking flow that routes by team size and region into your calendar tool.

  • Use-case and comparison pages

A page for each job the product does and each role it serves, plus honest comparison pages that state what competitors do well. These rank for the searches buyers make before they know your name.

  • Docs and a changelog that earn links

Docs, API reference and a changelog on your own domain, or styled to match a hosted docs tool, with clean URLs, structured data for search engines, and clear, dated facts in the text that developers and AI assistants can quote accurately.

  • A trust centre for procurement

Security overview, data processing agreement, subprocessor list and accessibility conformance report in one place, with audit reports listed only when you hold them and released under NDA.

  • Proof without invention

Customer logos, quotes and case studies appear only with written permission and real attribution, and paid or incentivised reviews are labelled. Until you have them, the design stands on the product itself.

  • Analytics with consent

Product analytics and ad pixels load according to the visitor’s consent choices, and sign-up events reach your CRM and analytics without double counting, so trial and demo numbers agree across tools.

  • Fast on the stack you choose

Built on a modern framework or a visual CMS your marketing team can edit, with landing pages they can publish without an engineer and Core Web Vitals checked before launch.

Compliance

The rules for startups and software companies, handled in the design

A software site sells subscriptions, collects personal data and quotes customers, and each of those has rules in the US, Canada and Europe. The designs handle them by default, and each rule below links to its source.

Sources gathered October 1, 2026. This is how our designs handle these rules, not legal advice: rules change and differ by province and state, so your lawyer or privacy counsel has the final word, and you approve every page before it goes live.

  • US · state law

    California automatic renewal law

California’s automatic renewal law asks for clear and conspicuous renewal terms before purchase, affirmative consent, an acknowledgment, and online cancellation; amendments in force from 1 July 2025 add free-to-paid conversions and annual reminders. The checkout and pricing designs place the terms beside the consent.

California — Business and Professions Code 17600–17606 (automatic renewal)

  • US

    Negative option billing after click-to-cancel

A federal appeals court (Eighth Circuit) set aside the FTC’s 2024 negative option amendments on 8 July 2025, and the agency has begun the rulemaking again. ROSCA still requires clear terms, express informed consent and a simple way to stop online recurring charges, so the designs keep cancellation easy.

FTC — Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act

  • US

    Testimonials, logos and reviews

The FTC’s Endorsement Guides expect endorsements to reflect real experience and material connections to be disclosed, and its 2024 rule bars fake or misattributed reviews and testimonials. Logo strips and quotes appear only with permission and attribution; incentivised reviews are labelled.

US — Guides Concerning Endorsements and Testimonials, 16 CFR Part 255 (eCFR)

  • US · state law

    California privacy notices

Businesses covered by the CCPA give a notice at collection and a privacy policy, and those that sell or share personal information offer a “Do Not Sell or Share” link and honour opt-out preference signals. The footer and cookie banner have places for each.

California Privacy Protection Agency — CCPA regulations

  • EU/UK

    GDPR transparency

Where you collect personal data from people in the EU or UK, Articles 13 and 14 GDPR list what a privacy notice states, including purposes, lawful basis, recipients and retention. Sign-up and demo forms link to that notice at the point of collection.

    EU — Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), EUR-Lex

  • Canada

    Onboarding and trial emails

Trial nurture sequences and product newsletters to Canadians are commercial electronic messages under CASL unless an exception applies. Sign-up asks for express consent separately from the terms, and every marketing email identifies the sender and carries an unsubscribe.

    Canada — Canada’s anti-spam legislation (ISED)

  • All

    Accessible marketing site and sign-up

WCAG 2.2 level AA is the reference most accessibility laws and enterprise procurement teams point to, including Ontario’s AODA standards, which name WCAG 2.0 AA. Designs are built to 2.2 AA so the marketing site, sign-up and checkout pass a buyer’s review.

Questions

Startups and software companies: common questions

How much does a SaaS website cost?
A SaaS website of up to 25 pages is $1,500 paid upfront, or $150 a month for 12 months, and it is yours after the 12th payment. A larger site of up to about 100 pages is $4,000, or $400 a month. Hosting and care is $29 or $49 a month. Prices are in US dollars.
Should my SaaS homepage push a free trial or a demo?
Pick the one your sales model depends on and make it the only primary button. Self-serve products with a short time to value convert best on a trial or free plan; products that need configuration, integration or a committee decision convert better on a demo. The other path stays available, one level down.
What should a SaaS pricing page say about renewals and cancellation?
State the price, billing period and what happens when a trial or term ends next to the button that starts it, and explain how to cancel online. California’s automatic renewal law asks for that, and the federal ROSCA still governs online subscriptions even though a court struck down the FTC’s 2024 rule update.Your lawyer confirms the final wording; the page is built so it is easy to put in the right place.
We have no customer logos yet. What do we put on the homepage?
Show the product. A clear screenshot or short product tour, the job it does, who it is for and how setup works persuades better than a borrowed logo strip. Logos and quotes go on only with written permission, and the FTC’s endorsement guides and review rule make invented or unattributed proof a real risk.
Can you build docs, a changelog and a status page too?
Yes. Docs and a changelog can live on your domain in the same design, or we style a hosted docs tool to match. A status page is usually best fed by your monitoring provider, where its access allows, and styled to look like the rest of the site.
Can you design our product UI or run SEO, not just the website?
You can ask. One request handles a marketing site, an app or product interface, SEO or marketing for a software company; note which you want. A marketing site has the fixed price above, product design and app work are quoted after a call, and SEO for software companies runs on a monthly plan.
Will my SaaS website rank on Google?
It launches with the technical SEO done: fast pages, clean structure, structured data, local pages and redirects from your old site. To keep climbing, a BOOSTD SEO plan from $149 a month runs 262 checks on your site every week, fixes what is safe to fix and gets the rest ready for your OK.No one can promise a position on Google, and we never do. Google warns businesses about anyone who does.
Can I get one of these SaaS and startup website designs?
Yes. Each is a complete, ready-to-launch website design BOOSTD made for startups and software companies. Pick one and we make it yours, with your name, colours, photos, content and the licence or compliance details your industry expects, from $150 a month and yours after 12 payments.Approved client sites are shown with a “Client work” tag, and only with the client’s written permission.
