Websites for local manufacturers
Manufacturing website design that brings in RFQs with drawings
Premium websites for local manufacturers, machine shops and fabricators: capability pages written for buyers and engineers, an RFQ form that takes CAD files, spec sheets as real pages, certifications shown only when you hold them, and origin claims worded the way regulators expect.
- Website from $150/month, yours after 12 payments
- SEO plans from $149/month
The short answer
What should a manufacturing website include?
A manufacturing website needs capability pages by process and material, an RFQ form that accepts drawings and CAD files with quantities and due dates, and spec sheets published as searchable pages. Show certifications only when the certificate is current, word any Made in USA or Made in Canada claim to the regulator’s standard, and keep export-controlled technical data off public pages.

What every manufacturer website includes
An RFQ form that takes CAD
Process, material, quantities, target dates and file upload for STEP, IGES, DXF, DWG and PDF drawings, stored privately and sent to estimating with the answers attached. An NDA option sits before the upload for buyers who need one.
Capability pages by process and material
A page for each process you run and each material you cut, with the work envelope, finishing options and typical industries written as text, so engineers searching a specification find the shop that can actually make it.
Spec sheets as searchable pages
Each catalogue product gets a page with dimensions, materials and standards in real text, plus a downloadable PDF and CAD model without a registration wall, so the part is found, checked and specified in one visit.
Certifications with an expiry date
Quality and welding certificates are entered with their scope, registrar and expiry, displayed while current and hidden automatically when they lapse, so the site never shows a mark the shop no longer holds.
Origin claims in their qualified form
Product pages carry a country-of-origin field written to the standard that applies: unqualified Made in USA only when the product qualifies, and Made in Canada with its qualifier where imported content requires one.
A dealer and distributor locator
Dealers by region with contact details and what they stock, fed from a spreadsheet or your ERP export where its access allows, so end users are sent to the channel rather than around it.
Bid documents ready for contractors
Capability statement, insurance and safety summaries and certificates in one place, downloadable or on request, so a general contractor or purchasing team can prequalify the shop without a phone call.
Hiring pages for the shop floor
Machinist, welder and apprentice openings with shift, pay range where your province or state requires it, and a short application that works on a phone, because skilled trades search for jobs on mobile.
Compliance
The rules for local manufacturers, handled in the design
Manufacturers’ websites make claims regulators read closely: where a product is made, which certificates the shop holds, and what technical data is public. The designs handle each by default, and each rule below links to its source.
Sources gathered October 1, 2026. This is how our designs handle these rules, not legal advice: rules change and differ by province and state, so your lawyer or trade compliance advisor has the final word, and you approve every page before it goes live.
- US
Made in USA claims
The FTC’s Made in USA Labeling Rule covers unqualified claims on labels and in mail-order and online promotional material: the product must be all or virtually all made in the United States. Origin fields default to a qualified claim, and an unqualified one needs your sign-off.
- Canada
Product of Canada and Made in Canada
The Competition Bureau’s guidelines set a higher bar for “Product of Canada” than for “Made in Canada”, which generally carries a qualifier such as “with imported parts”, and both need the last substantial transformation in Canada. Product pages use the claim and qualifier you confirm.
- All
ISO certification wording
ISO itself does not certify companies; certification is issued by independent bodies, and ISO’s guidance is to say “ISO 9001:2015 certified” with the standard, rather than use the ISO logo. Certificates appear only while current, with the registrar named.
- US
Technical data and the EAR
Information that is published, including openly on a website, is generally outside the Export Administration Regulations, so posting is itself a decision about controlled technology. Drawings and process data for controlled items stay off public pages, and uploads warn buyers not to send controlled data.
US — Export Administration Regulations, 15 CFR Part 734 (eCFR)
- US
ITAR technical data
For defence articles, ITAR defines technical data and treats releasing it to foreign persons as an export, which a public web page can do. Shops with ITAR work keep that data out of the site and the open upload form, and state that controlled files are exchanged another way.
US — International Traffic in Arms Regulations, 22 CFR Part 120 (eCFR)
- Ontario
Accessible websites for larger employers
Under Ontario’s Integrated Accessibility Standards, private organizations with 50 or more employees make new and refreshed public websites conform to WCAG 2.0 level AA. These concepts target the newer 2.2 AA, which covers that bar and answers the accessibility line on supplier questionnaires.
Ontario — O. Reg. 191/11, Integrated Accessibility Standards
- Canada
Consent before the product newsletter
An RFQ creates a short window to reply about that request, but adding the buyer to a product or trade-show mailing list is a commercial electronic message that needs consent under CASL. The RFQ form offers a separate, unticked newsletter box.

Questions
Local manufacturers: common questions
- How much does a manufacturing website cost?
- A manufacturing website of up to 25 pages is $1,500 paid upfront, or $150 a month for 12 months, and it is yours after the 12th payment. A larger site of up to about 100 pages is $4,000, or $400 a month. Hosting and care is $29 or $49 a month. Prices are in US dollars.
- Can buyers upload CAD files and drawings with a quote request?
- Yes. The RFQ form takes STEP, IGES, DXF, DWG and PDF files with process, material, quantity and due date, stores them privately and sends the request to estimating with everything attached. An NDA option can sit before the upload, and the form tells buyers not to send export-controlled data through it.
- Can we say Made in USA or Made in Canada on our website?
- Yes, if the product meets the standard. In the US an unqualified Made in USA claim means all or virtually all made there; in Canada, Made in Canada usually needs a qualifier such as “with imported parts”, and Product of Canada has a higher bar. Origin fields default to the qualified wording until you confirm.
- Is it safe to publish spec sheets and CAD models?
- For standard catalogue parts, usually yes, and it is the content engineers search for. Publishing drawings for parts with export-controlled technology is different: under the EAR and ITAR, putting technical data on a public page can be an export. We publish only what you approve, and your trade counsel decides the controlled list.
- Can we ask for a dealer portal, SEO or marketing instead of a website?
- Yes. A single request reaches us for a manufacturing website, a customer or dealer portal app, SEO or marketing; write which one, and what you make. Search and lead generation for manufacturers is explained on our manufacturing marketing page, and a dealer or customer portal is quoted after a short call.
- Will my manufacturer website rank on Google?
- It launches with the technical SEO done: fast pages, clean structure, structured data, local pages and redirects from your old site. To keep climbing, a BOOSTD SEO plan from $149 a month runs 262 checks on your site every week, fixes what is safe to fix and gets the rest ready for your OK.No one can promise a position on Google, and we never do. Google warns businesses about anyone who does.
- Can I get one of these manufacturing website designs?
- Yes. Each is a complete, ready-to-launch website design BOOSTD made for local manufacturers. Pick one and we make it yours, with your name, colours, photos, content and the licence or compliance details your industry expects, from $150 a month and yours after 12 payments.Approved client sites are shown with a “Client work” tag, and only with the client’s written permission.
