The short answer

What should a furniture store website include?

A furniture store website needs a catalogue with dimensions, materials and lead times on every piece, swatch and quote requests, and a delivery page that names your zones and what each one costs. Showroom hours and a visit booking come next. Financing offers carry their conditions, and dressers and chests show tip-over and anchoring information.

Built in

What every furniture store website includes

  • A catalogue your team can keep current

Each piece gets its dimensions, materials, fabric options, lead time and care notes, edited by your staff or synced from your POS or Shopify catalogue where the provider allows, so a discontinued sofa never stays online.

  • Swatch and fabric requests

Shoppers order up to a set number of swatches from any upholstered piece. Each request arrives with the product, the fabrics chosen and the address, so a sample becomes a sales conversation rather than a lost click.

  • Delivery zones with honest dates

A postal-code check shows the zone, the next delivery day and the charge on every product page, and separates in-stock pieces from special orders, whose date is set only once the piece reaches your warehouse.

  • Financing shown with its conditions

Offers live in one table your team edits. A deferred-interest plan always carries “if paid in full” and its period beside it, and instalment offers show the lender, APR and term, so a banner never promises more than the contract.

  • Showroom visits and design consults

Visitors book a showroom visit or a consult with a designer, pick a time and say which room they are furnishing. Your floor staff see the booking with the pieces the visitor saved, ready before they walk in.

  • Tip-over information on storage pieces

Dressers, chests and wardrobes carry a standard block about anchoring and the restraint kit that ships with them, and a downloadable assembly guide. The copy never calls a piece tip-proof.

  • Room pages that rank

Pages for each room and style, written from what is on your floor, with product structured data and a Google Merchant Center feed, so “walnut dining table” searches near you can land on the table itself.

Compliance

The rules for furniture stores, handled in the design

Furniture is regulated where it touches safety and money: tip-over standards for storage pieces, filling labels, financing advertising and delivery promises. Each rule below links to its source.

Sources gathered October 1, 2026. This is how our designs handle these rules, not legal advice: rules change and differ by province and state, so your lawyer, your lender and your suppliers’ compliance documents has the final word, and you approve every page before it goes live.

  • US

    Tip-over standard for clothing storage

The CPSC’s rule under the STURDY Act sets a mandatory stability standard, a warning label and a hang tag for clothing storage units such as dressers and chests. Product pages for those pieces show the anchoring guidance and restraint kit, and the copy never claims a piece cannot tip.

US — 16 CFR 1261, Safety Standard for Clothing Storage Units (eCFR)

  • Canada

Clothing storage units and ASTM F2057-23

Health Canada has assessed free-standing clothing storage units that do not meet ASTM F2057-23 as a danger to health or safety under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. Product pages leave room for the standard a piece is tested to, entered by you from the supplier’s documents.

Health Canada — Danger assessment for free-standing clothing storage units

  • US

    Deferred-interest financing ads

Regulation Z says an advertised “no interest” deferred-interest offer must say “if paid in full” and state the deferred-interest period clearly, with further disclosures about interest charged from the purchase date. The financing table puts those conditions in the same line as the offer.

    US — Regulation Z, 12 CFR 1026.16 (CFPB)

  • Ontario

    Orders delivered later

Under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002, a furniture order paid now and delivered later is a future performance agreement: it needs a delivery date in writing, and the buyer may cancel if the goods do not arrive within 30 days of that date. Order confirmations carry the date.

Ontario — Business guide to consumer protection: types of agreements

  • Canada

    Stuffed-article labels, not Ontario registration

Ontario’s own upholstered and stuffed articles registration is reported revoked since 2019, so the designs show no Ontario registration number; federal labelling of stuffed and filled textile articles still applies. Filling content is taken from each piece’s law label, never typed from memory.

Competition Bureau — Guide to the labelling of stuffed or filled textile articles

  • US

    Shipping times for online orders

The FTC’s Mail, Internet or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule expects you to ship within the time you state, or within 30 days if you state none, and to offer a delay notice and refund when you cannot. Product pages state lead times your team sets, not hopeful ones.

Questions

Furniture stores: common questions

How much does a furniture store website cost?
A furniture store website of up to 25 pages is $1,500 paid upfront, or $150 a month for 12 months, and it is yours after the 12th payment. A larger site of up to about 100 pages is $4,000, or $400 a month. Hosting and care is $29 or $49 a month. Prices are in US dollars.
Can the website use our existing catalogue or POS?
Yes. Products, prices and stock can come from a spreadsheet export, a Shopify catalogue or your POS where the provider’s access allows it, and your team edits the rest in the site itself. Each piece carries its dimensions, materials, fabric options and lead time, so discontinued items come off the site when they come off the floor.
How do we show delivery dates and charges?
A postal-code check on each product page shows the delivery zone, the next delivery day and the charge for that zone. In-stock pieces show a real date; special orders say the date is confirmed once the piece reaches your warehouse. In Ontario, the order confirmation records the delivery date, because the buyer may cancel if delivery runs more than 30 days late.
Can we advertise “no interest” financing on the site?
Yes, with its conditions beside it. Offers live in a table your team updates, and a deferred-interest offer always reads “if paid in full” within the stated period, which Regulation Z expects in the US. Instalment offers show the lender, APR and term. Your lender approves the wording before an offer goes live, and we build the table to make that review easy.
Can BOOSTD also build a furniture app or run our SEO?
Yes. You can ask for any mix of website, app, SEO and marketing work through the one request form: a store site, a delivery-tracking or room-planner app, an SEO plan, or advertising. Tell us what you sell and where you deliver, and an advisor replies with what fits. Many stores or a franchise: ask for a demo and choose the multi-location option.
Will my furniture store website rank on Google?
It launches with the technical SEO done: fast pages, clean structure, structured data, local pages and redirects from your old site. To keep climbing, a BOOSTD SEO plan from $149 a month runs 262 checks on your site every week, fixes what is safe to fix and gets the rest ready for your OK.No one can promise a position on Google, and we never do. Google warns businesses about anyone who does.
Can I get one of these furniture website designs?
Yes. Each is a complete, ready-to-launch website design BOOSTD made for furniture stores. Pick one and we make it yours, with your name, colours, photos, content and the licence or compliance details your industry expects, from $150 a month and yours after 12 payments.Approved client sites are shown with a “Client work” tag, and only with the client’s written permission.
