What every food truck website includes
A schedule you update from the truck
This week’s stops with times, addresses and a map, changed from your phone in seconds when a spot falls through, and published to the site, the stop-alert list and your Google Business Profile posts where its access allows.
Where we are now
A “today” banner and a map pin for the current stop, marked up as events so a search for food trucks near a place can show when and where you are serving.
Catering requests that are quotable
A short request form that asks for date, headcount, address, service window, power, parking and access, plus dietary needs, so you can quote or decline without three emails back and forth.
Pre-order for the window
Order-ahead through Square, Toast or your point-of-sale system where the provider’s access allows, with pickup windows per stop that each take a set number of orders.
Stop alerts people asked for
Text or email alerts when the truck parks, with consent recorded at sign-up, the frequency stated, and an opt-out in every message, so the list grows without breaking anti-spam or texting rules.
An organiser’s kit
A page event organisers need: truck dimensions, power needs, licence and permit numbers, and a request for your insurance certificate, so festival applications and venue bookings go faster.
A page for every truck
Small fleets get a page per truck with its own menu, schedule and photos, under one brand, so each truck can be found and booked on its own.
Compliance
The rules for food trucks, handled in the design
A food truck’s site is shaped by city vending rules, health permits and the consent rules for text and email alerts. Each rule below links to its source.
Sources gathered October 1, 2026. This is how our designs handle these rules, not legal advice: rules change and differ by province and state, so your lawyer, city licensing office or local health unit has the final word, and you approve every page before it goes live.
- Ontario
Toronto vending licence and permit
In Toronto a food truck needs a motorized refreshment vehicle owner licence and a mobile food vending permit, and trading on private lots needs the owner’s permission in an area where zoning allows it. The schedule lists only stops you are entitled to use, and the footer carries your licence number.
City of Toronto — Food trucks (Municipal Licensing and Standards)
- Ontario
Food Premises Regulation for mobile kitchens
Ontario’s Food Premises Regulation sets food safety standards for places where food is prepared, sold or offered for sale, and the local public health unit inspects them, food trucks included. A permits page links to your health unit’s public inspection results where it publishes them.
- US · local law
Permit decal and letter grade in New York City
In New York City a vendor needs a mobile food vending licence, and each truck or cart needs a current permit decal shown where customers can see it, with its letter grade. US cities and counties each set their own rules, so the permits page lists what your city issues and never a grade you do not hold.
- US
Text alerts and the TCPA
The FCC’s rules under the TCPA require prior express written consent before a business sends automated marketing texts, and a request to stop must be honoured promptly. The stop-alert sign-up states what is sent and how often, records consent with a timestamp, and every text says how to stop.
US — 47 CFR 64.1200, telephone solicitation and texting rules (eCFR)
- Canada
Stop alerts and CASL
In Canada, location alerts and offers sent by text or email are commercial electronic messages: CASL asks for consent, identification of the sender and an unsubscribe that takes effect within ten business days. The sign-up is opt-in only and every alert names the truck.

Apps
For most trucks, a website with a live schedule and pre-order does the job of an app. An app makes sense for a fleet with a lunch crowd that orders every day.

Questions
Food trucks: common questions
- How much does a food truck website cost?
- A food truck website of up to 25 pages is $1,500 paid upfront, or $150 a month for 12 months, and it is yours after the 12th payment. A larger site of up to about 100 pages is $4,000, or $400 a month. Hosting and care is $29 or $49 a month. Prices are in US dollars.
- How do I keep my food truck schedule up to date?
- From your phone. The schedule editor takes a stop, a time and an address in seconds, and the change appears on the site, the map and the “today” banner straight away. Stop alerts go to people who opted in, and where its access allows, the stop can be posted to your Google Business Profile too.
- Can people book my food truck for catering through the website?
- Yes. The catering form asks for the event date, headcount, address, service window, power, parking and access, and any dietary needs, then sends the request to your phone. You quote from complete details, and an organiser page answers the usual questions about truck size, permits and insurance before they are asked.
- Should my food truck website show my permits?
- Usually yes, and some cities expect it on the truck itself. Toronto issues a vending licence and permit, and New York City expects a permit decal and letter grade on every truck. The site shows the licence and permit numbers your city issues, and links to public inspection results where your health unit publishes them.
- Can BOOSTD build a food truck app or run our marketing and SEO?
- Yes. Use the request form for any of the four: a website, a truck-finder app, SEO, or marketing to grow your stop-alert list. Most single trucks only need the website. If your fleet is bigger than a plan allows, tick multi-location when booking a demo, and the quote covers every truck.
- Will my food truck website rank on Google?
- It launches with the technical SEO done: fast pages, clean structure, structured data, local pages and redirects from your old site. To keep climbing, a BOOSTD SEO plan from $149 a month runs 262 checks on your site every week, fixes what is safe to fix and gets the rest ready for your OK.No one can promise a position on Google, and we never do. Google warns businesses about anyone who does.
- Can I get one of these food truck website designs?
- Yes. Each is a complete, ready-to-launch website design BOOSTD made for food trucks. Pick one and we make it yours, with your name, colours, photos, content and the licence or compliance details your industry expects, from $150 a month and yours after 12 payments.Approved client sites are shown with a “Client work” tag, and only with the client’s written permission.
