The short answer

What should a vape shop website include?

A vape shop website should check age before showing products, carry the health or nicotine warning your jurisdiction requires in the first view, and describe devices and liquids as plain facts with no lifestyle images, people or endorsements. If you sell online it needs verified age at checkout and adult-signature delivery, and it should give adults service help: coils, batteries and recycling.

Built in

What every vape shop website includes

  • The warning in the first view

US pages carry the FDA nicotine warning as a band across the top, and Canadian pages reserve space for the prescribed health warning with its Health Canada attribution. Neither is tucked into a footer, because the rules on advertising place them up front.

  • An age check before the catalogue

Visitors confirm their age and location before any product appears, set to 19, 21 or 18 depending on where the store sells. Promotion that young people can see is the thing these rules are built to stop.

  • Product pages written as specs

Capacity, coil resistance, battery rating and labelled nicotine, with no smoke clouds, people, characters or flavour imagery. The catalogue tells an adult what a product is and leaves persuasion out entirely.

  • Verified ordering and signed delivery

Online orders verify name, birth date and address before payment, ship by a carrier that takes an adult signature with ID, and stop at checkout for places the shop cannot legally send to. Age-verification and carrier services connect by API; the specific providers are scoped with an advisor and quoted.

  • Service pages that bring adults in

Coil swaps, device fixes, battery safety and recycling drop-off each get a page, because help is what adults search for and what the rules leave room to publish. Those pages are where a vape shop’s site wins local searches.

  • One place for every store’s details

Hours, services and each store’s registration or licence number live on its own page and update from one place. Chains stop answering the same opening-time question by phone.

Compliance

The rules for vape shops, handled in the design

Vape retailers work under promotion bans, mandatory warnings and age-verified delivery. These are the website and advertising rules we design around in Canada, Ontario, the US and the UK, plus what Google and Meta refuse, each linked to the body that sets it.

Sources gathered October 1, 2026. This is how our designs handle these rules, not legal advice: rules change and differ by province and state, so your health regulator, public health unit or lawyer has the final word, and you approve every page before it goes live.

  • Canada

No lifestyle advertising, testimonials or characters

The Tobacco and Vaping Products Act prohibits promoting vaping products through lifestyle advertising, meaning anything evoking glamour, recreation, excitement, vitality, risk or daring, and through testimonials or endorsements. Depicting a person, character or animal, real or fictional, counts as an endorsement. The designs show none of them.

    Tobacco and Vaping Products Act (S.C. 1997, c. 13), sections 30.2 and 30.21

  • Canada

No ads young people can see, and a health warning on the rest

The Vaping Products Promotion Regulations ban vaping advertising that young persons can see or hear, online included, and require each permitted visual ad to carry one warning from Health Canada’s published list, in a black or white display area of at least 20 percent of the ad, attributed to Health Canada. Canadian designs keep a warning band in the first view and the catalogue behind an age check.

    Vaping Products Promotion Regulations (SOR/2020-143)

  • Ontario

Display and promotion stay inside a registered store

Under the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017 only registered specialty vape stores may display and promote vapour products, inside the store and out of sight from outside, and no one under 19 may be sold or supplied. We read that as a reason to keep an Ontario store’s website factual and age-checked rather than an online showroom; your public health unit can confirm.

Ontario — Rules for selling tobacco and vapour products

  • US

The nicotine warning on every advertisement

FDA rules for covered tobacco products, which include e-cigarettes, require advertisements to carry the warning that the product contains nicotine and that nicotine is an addictive chemical, in at least 20 percent of the ad’s area at the top. US designs set it as a full-width band above the navigation.

eCFR — 21 CFR Part 1143, Minimum Required Warning Statements

  • US

Age 21, verified online orders and signed delivery

The federal minimum age for vapes is 21, and since the PACT Act was extended to vapes in 2021 online sellers must verify each buyer’s age against commercially available databases, label packages and have an adult show ID and sign on delivery; the postal service may not carry them. The ordering designs follow those steps in that order.

ATF — Vapes and e-cigarettes (PACT Act)

  • UK

No paid online ads, but factual pages on your own site

The Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016 ban most e-cigarette advertising online and in print, and the CAP Code applies them. A retailer’s own website may still carry factual product information, factual how-to content and sales lists. The UK design is built entirely from those.

ASA — CAP Code section 22, Electronic cigarettes

  • Google and Meta

    Vape ads are refused

Google’s ad policy prohibits ads for e-cigarettes and products that directly facilitate their use, and Meta does not allow ads promoting vapes in any context. A vape shop’s growth comes from local search, service pages and an opt-in list of verified adults, so that is what the designs are built for.

Questions

Vape shops: common questions

How much does a vape shop website cost?
A vape shop website of up to 25 pages is $1,500 paid upfront, or $150 a month for 12 months, and it is yours after the 12th payment. A larger site of up to about 100 pages is $4,000, or $400 a month. Hosting and care is $29 or $49 a month. Prices are in US dollars.
How do you do vape shop marketing when Google and Meta refuse vape ads?
Through the channels you control. Google’s policy bars e-cigarette ads and Meta does not allow vape promotion, so the site has to earn local searches with store pages, device help and recycling information, and keep adults coming back through an opt-in list that checks their age.We never promise that a platform will approve a vape ad, and we do not try to work around their policies.
Where does the health warning go on a vape shop website?
At the top, in the first view. US advertising rules ask for the FDA nicotine warning in at least a fifth of an ad’s area at the top, and Canadian rules ask for a single Health Canada warning in a set display area. The designs reserve a full-width band for it rather than a footer line. The exact wording and size for your situation are for your regulator or lawyer to confirm; we set the space and the text you give us.
Can we sell vapes online through the website?
Where your licence and the buyer’s location allow it. In the US that means verifying age against a database before payment, labelling packages and using a carrier that takes an adult signature with ID; the postal service will not carry vapes. Checkout stops for places you cannot ship to, and provincial rules apply in Canada.Age-verification and carrier services connect by API; the specific providers are scoped with an advisor and quoted.
Can a UK vape shop advertise on its own website?
Within limits. UK law bans most online e-cigarette advertising, but the CAP Code treats a retailer’s own site as able to carry factual product information, factual how-to content and a sales list. The UK concept is built only from those, with an over-18s line and no promotional banners or lifestyle images.
Will my vape shop website rank on Google?
It launches with the technical SEO done: fast pages, clean structure, structured data, local pages and redirects from your old site. To keep climbing, a BOOSTD SEO plan from $149 a month runs 262 checks on your site every week, fixes what is safe to fix and gets the rest ready for your OK.No one can promise a position on Google, and we never do. Google warns businesses about anyone who does.
How long does a vape shop website take to build?
About 4 weeks for a local site and about 8 weeks for a larger one, counted from the day we have your content, logo, photos and licence details. A larger site is planned with an advisor first, so its timeline is confirmed in writing before any work starts. You test the age check, the warning band and a full order on your phone before launch, and nothing goes live until you approve it.
Can I get one of these vape shop website designs?
Yes. Each is a complete, ready-to-launch website design BOOSTD made for vape shops. Pick one and we make it yours, with your name, colours, photos, content and the licence or compliance details your industry expects, from $150 a month and yours after 12 payments.Approved client sites are shown with a “Client work” tag, and only with the client’s written permission.
