Tree service website design for storm calls, removals and arborists

Websites for tree services and arborists: a storm line that switches on when branches come down, photo quotes for removals and pruning, credentials shown the way ISA and state rules expect (the arborist’s own name and ID, never a “certified company”), and area pages that are honest about where the crane and chipper go.

The short answer

What should a tree service website include?

A tree service website needs a storm and emergency line that can be switched on after high winds, a quote form that takes photos of the tree, and separate pages for removal, pruning, stump grinding and plant health care. It should name each ISA Certified Arborist with their ID, show any state tree expert licence, and cover only the areas you serve.

Built in

What every tree service website includes

  • A storm line you switch on

After high winds the homepage leads with the storm number and a short triage list; when the storm work is booked out it switches back to quotes, so nobody is promised a crew that is three days away.

  • Tree-photo quotes

Visitors send photos of the tree from the ground and say what is nearby: house, fence, wires. You can see whether it needs a climber, a bucket truck or a crane before you drive out to look.

  • Arborist credentials shown correctly

Each ISA Certified Arborist is shown with their own name, photo and certification ID, apart from the company name, and their profile can be pulled when a credential lapses. The company itself is never called certified.

  • One page per service, written by the trade

Removal, crown reduction, cabling, stump grinding, plant health care and land clearing each get their own page, written from how you actually do the work, which is what searchers and Google both look for.

  • Licence numbers printed where expected

State tree expert and contractor licence numbers are entered once and shown in the footer, on quote forms and on every page aimed at a state that asks for them in advertising.

  • Insurance-ready job photos

Storm jobs collect before-and-after photos and a short written note the homeowner can send to their insurer, without the site ever offering to handle or negotiate the claim.

Found locally

How tree services get found in the areas they serve

Google runs the Business Profile and Local Services Ads programmes and decides who qualifies. We build the site and the area pages to Google’s rules and keep your profile accurate. Badges such as Google Verified (which replaced Google Guaranteed and Google Screened in 2025) are Google’s to grant, not ours.

  1. 01

    Google Business Profile

Primary category “Tree service”, with stump grinding or arborist services listed one by one and real job photos. As a service-area business, hide the yard address and list the areas the crews really cover.

  2. 02

    Local Services Ads

Where Google offers Local Services Ads for tree services in your market, Google screens the business and may show its Google Verified badge, and you pay per lead. Advanced verification in Google Ads is aimed at locksmiths and garage door firms, not tree work; check the current list.

  3. 03

    Area pages, not doorway pages

Google treats near-identical town pages as doorway abuse. Each area page needs its own substance: species and problems common there, local permit rules for removals and the crew that covers it.

  4. 04

    Storm demand, tracked

Searches spike in the hours after a storm. A storm landing page ready to publish, hours on the profile that match when you answer, and call tracking show which storms and pages filled the schedule.

Compliance

The rules for tree services, handled in the design

Tree work is regulated unevenly: some states license tree experts and require the number in every ad, ISA controls how its arborist certification may be shown, and work near power lines has its own federal rules. The designs follow these.

Sources gathered October 1, 2026. This is how our designs handle these rules, not legal advice: rules change and differ by province and state, so your state licensing board, ISA’s credentialing office or a lawyer has the final word, and you approve every page before it goes live.

  • ISA · everywhere

Arborist certification belongs to the person

ISA’s policy is that only an individual can be an ISA Certified Arborist: a business cannot be certified, and the mark must appear with the holder’s full name and certification ID, not right beside the business name. The design shows each arborist’s name and ID on their own profile and never calls the company certified.

ISA — Credential ethics and trademark policy

  • Maryland

Tree expert licence number in every ad

Maryland requires the Licensed Tree Expert’s licence number on any advertisement for tree treatment, care or removal, and DNR says it belongs on trucks, proposals and contracts too. Pages and quote forms for Maryland work carry the number.

Maryland DNR — Licensed tree expert law

  • California

    The right tree licence classification

CSLB stopped issuing the old D-49 Tree Service classification after 1 January 2024; new applicants take the C-49 Tree and Palm licence, and existing D-49 holders keep theirs. California law also requires the licence number in all advertising. The footer names the classification the client actually holds, with its number.

CSLB — Tree and Palm classification bulletin

  • US

    Work near power lines

OSHA treats tree work within 10 feet of energised lines as line-clearance tree trimming, with its own training and qualification rules. The site offers trimming near lines only when the client confirms a qualified crew, and storm pages tell visitors to call the utility first.

OSHA — Line-clearance tree trimming operations

  • US

Three days to cancel storm work signed at the door

Quotes accepted on the homeowner’s property count as sales at the home, so the FTC’s Cooling-Off Rule lets the customer cancel most of them, from 25 dollars up, within three business days, and the cancellation right must be given in writing. Storm-work quotes signed on site arrive by email with the cancellation terms, and nothing on the site says “no cancellations”.

Questions

Tree services: common questions

How much does a tree service website cost?
A tree service website of up to 25 pages is $1,500 paid upfront, or $150 a month for 12 months, and it is yours after the 12th payment. A larger site of up to about 100 pages is $4,000, or $400 a month. Hosting and care is $29 or $49 a month. Prices are in US dollars.Call tracking and Local Services Ads are billed by their own providers.
How should a tree service website show ISA certification?
On each arborist’s own profile, with their full name and certification ID, kept apart from the company name. ISA’s policy is that only individuals are certified, so the site never says the company is certified, and a profile comes down if that person’s credential lapses or they leave.
Can the website handle storm calls after high winds?
Yes. A storm mode puts the storm number and a short “where did it land?” list at the top of every page, and steers anything near a power line to the utility first. When your crews are booked out, you switch it off, so the site never promises help that is days away.
Can customers get a tree removal quote from photos?
They can send photos from the ground and note what is nearby, such as the house, a fence or wires. That tells you whether the job needs a climber, a bucket truck or a crane before you drive out. The photo price is a range, and the written price follows a short site look.
Where do tree expert and contractor licence numbers go?
In the footer, on quote forms and on any page aimed at a state that asks for them. Maryland requires the Licensed Tree Expert’s number in every advertisement for tree work, and California requires the contractor licence number in all advertising. You enter each number once and the site places it.
Will my tree service website rank on Google?
It launches with the technical SEO done: fast pages, clean structure, structured data, local pages and redirects from your old site. To keep climbing, a BOOSTD SEO plan from $149 a month runs 262 checks on your site every week, fixes what is safe to fix and gets the rest ready for your OK.No one can promise a position on Google, and we never do. Google warns businesses about anyone who does.
Can I get one of these tree service website designs?
Yes. Each is a complete, ready-to-launch website design BOOSTD made for tree services. Pick one and we make it yours, with your name, colours, photos, content and the licence or compliance details your industry expects, from $150 a month and yours after 12 payments.Approved client sites are shown with a “Client work” tag, and only with the client’s written permission.
