Laundromat and dry cleaner website design that books the next pickup

Websites for laundromats, wash-and-fold services, dry cleaners and pickup-and-delivery laundry: book a pickup in three fields, see prices by garment rather than by who wears it, check which machines are free, and sign up for a laundry plan whose renewal terms are plain before anyone pays.

The short answer

What should a laundromat or dry cleaner website include?

It should let a customer book a pickup or find the nearest open store in seconds, and show a full price list by garment and service, never by gender. It should state delivery fees in the price, explain how lost or damaged items are handled, and set out any wash-and-fold plan’s renewal and cancellation terms before checkout.

Built in

What every laundromat or dry cleaner website includes

  • A pickup booked in three fields

Day, window and address are all a new customer has to give before choosing a service, with sign-up after the booking rather than before it. Repeat customers book from a saved address and preferences in one tap.

  • A price list by garment, never by gender

Every item is priced by what it is and the work it needs, laid out as a printable list. California and New York City restrict gender-based pricing, and a public, garment-based list is the simplest way to show you follow it.

  • Delivery fees inside the price

Per-bag and per-pound prices include any delivery or service fee from the first place they appear, with only taxes added at checkout. Canada and the UK both treat fees added late in checkout as deceptive pricing.

  • Plans with the renewal on show

Wash-and-fold plans show the amount, the renewal date and the online cancel button before a card is requested, and reminders go out where the law expects them. Members who can leave easily tend to stay longer.

  • A care and claims page customers can find

How you handle a lost button, a shrunk sweater or a missing shirt, how to report it and how long a claim takes, written before anything goes wrong. It answers the worry that keeps people from trying a new cleaner.

  • Machine status and store hours

For laundromats with connected machines, a board of free washers and dryers, plus each store’s hours, attendant times and payment methods. It saves the trip that ends at a full store.

  • Commercial accounts with their own path

Hotels, clinics, gyms and restaurants get a separate route to a proposal, with volumes, delivery frequency and linen ownership asked up front. Household customers never have to wade through it.

  • Green claims worded carefully

Solvents and processes are named exactly, rather than “organic” or “eco” on their own, and “perc-free” is not presented as special where perc is already banned. Customers asking about chemicals get a straight answer.

Compliance

The rules for laundromats and dry cleaners, handled in the design

Laundry and dry cleaning have more pricing rules than most local trades: gender-neutral price lists, fees inside the advertised price, and renewal terms for plans. These are the website rules we design around, each linked to the body that sets it.

Sources gathered October 1, 2026. This is how our designs handle these rules, not legal advice: rules change and differ by province and state, so your consumer protection office or your lawyer has the final word, and you approve every page before it goes live.

  • California

No gender-based prices, and a posted price list

California’s Gender Tax Repeal Act bars charging different prices for similar services because of gender, and requires dry cleaners, tailors and similar businesses to post a price list of their most requested standard services and give a complete list on request. The rule is about the premises; the designs mirror it online with a garment-based list.

    California Civil Code §51.6

  • New York City

Prices displayed by gender are prohibited

New York City’s Administrative Code treats a retail service business, such as a dry cleaner, disclosing different prices for a service based on gender as a violation, and the city’s inspection checklist for retail laundries says the posted price list may not show different prices for men and women. NYC versions of the designs never label prices “men’s” and “women’s”; they price by garment, fabric and finish.

NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection — Inspection checklist: retail laundries (Admin. Code §20-750)

  • Miami-Dade, Florida

Posted prices and a claims process for cleaners

Miami-Dade County’s consumer rules for dry cleaning and laundering businesses require prices to be posted where customers can see them, and set out how a customer may claim for loss or damage and how the cleaner must respond. Concepts publish the price list and link a claims page from every order; local rules elsewhere differ.

  • US

    “Perc-free” and other free-of claims

The FTC Green Guides say a truthful free-of claim can still deceive if the substance is not associated with the product category. California air rules have phased perc out of dry cleaning, so there a “perc-free” headline implies a difference that is not one. The designs name the solvent or process instead of claiming its absence.

eCFR — 16 CFR 260.9, Free-of claims (FTC Green Guides)

Online plans: terms, consent and an easy stop

ROSCA requires an online seller of a plan that bills automatically to disclose all material terms before taking billing details, get express informed consent, and give a simple way to stop recurring charges. The FTC’s broader click-to-cancel rule was vacated in 2025, but ROSCA still applies, so plan pages put the terms beside the button.

FTC — Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act

  • California

Automatic renewal: cancel the way you joined

California’s automatic renewal law, as amended for contracts from July 2025, requires cancellation through the same medium the customer used to sign up, an online cancel link or button for online sign-ups, annual reminders and notice before a price change. Foldwise-style plan pages are built so cancelling online takes as few steps as joining.

California Legislature — AB 2863 (2024), Automatic renewal and continuous service offers

  • Canada

Advertised prices must include mandatory fees

The Competition Act treats a price that cannot be attained because of mandatory added fees as deceptive, and the Competition Bureau says only fees imposed by government, such as sales tax, can be left out. A pickup or service fee every customer pays is therefore built into the per-bag or per-pound price shown.

Competition Bureau Canada — Drip pricing

  • UK

Delivery charges in the headline price

Under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act the CMA treats drip pricing as automatically unfair, and its guidance says unavoidable charges, including a mandatory delivery charge, belong in the first price shown. UK versions show the collection and delivery cost inside the headline price on every page and advert.

Questions

Laundromats and dry cleaners: common questions

How much does a laundromat or dry cleaner website cost?
A laundromat or dry cleaner website of up to 25 pages is $1,500 paid upfront, or $150 a month for 12 months, and it is yours after the 12th payment. A larger site of up to about 100 pages is $4,000, or $400 a month. Hosting and care is $29 or $49 a month. Prices are in US dollars.
Can customers book laundry pickup and delivery on the website?
Yes. A customer chooses a day, a pickup window and an address, then the service, and creates an account only after the booking is in. The booking reaches your team and drivers by email, text or any system that accepts orders by webhook or API, and repeat customers rebook from saved preferences in one tap.
Can a laundromat or dry cleaner get its own app?
Yes. A customer app under your own name can book pickups, show itemised dry-cleaning tickets, send ready and driver alerts and let members pause or cancel a plan. It keeps the customer with you instead of a marketplace. Apps are scoped and quoted separately from the website, and the website works well on phones on its own.
Can the website connect to our laundry POS or route software?
Bookings and plan sign-ups can be sent to any system that accepts orders by email, webhook or API. A direct connection to a laundry or dry-cleaning POS, a route planner or a machine payment system is scoped with an advisor and quoted, because each one shares different data and some allow no outside connection at all.
Can dry cleaners charge different prices for men’s and women’s shirts?
In California and New York City, not because of gender: a price difference has to rest on something like the garment’s size, fabric, trim or the labour it takes. California also expects a posted list of common services. The designs list prices by garment and finish rather than by who wears it, which reads as fair everywhere.Other places have their own rules, and your consumer protection office or lawyer has the final word.
Will my laundromat or dry cleaner website rank on Google?
It launches with the technical SEO done: fast pages, clean structure, structured data, local pages and redirects from your old site. To keep climbing, a BOOSTD SEO plan from $149 a month runs 262 checks on your site every week, fixes what is safe to fix and gets the rest ready for your OK.No one can promise a position on Google, and we never do. Google warns businesses about anyone who does.
How long does a laundromat or dry cleaner website take to build?
About 4 weeks for a local site and about 8 weeks for a larger one, counted from the day we have your content, logo, photos and licence details. A larger site is planned with an advisor first, so its timeline is confirmed in writing before any work starts. You book a test pickup, check the price list and read the plan terms as a customer before launch, and nothing goes live until you approve it.
Can I get one of these laundromat and dry cleaner website designs?
Yes. Each is a complete, ready-to-launch website design BOOSTD made for laundromats and dry cleaners. Pick one and we make it yours, with your name, colours, photos, content and the licence or compliance details your industry expects, from $150 a month and yours after 12 payments.Approved client sites are shown with a “Client work” tag, and only with the client’s written permission.
