The short answer

What should a florist website include?

A florist website needs an online shop sorted by occasion, a postal-code check that shows whether same-day delivery is possible and the order cut-off, and a card-message field at checkout. Add a wedding and events enquiry page with a portfolio, a subscription that can be paused or cancelled online, and clear substitution and delivery policies.

Built in

What every florist website includes

  • An occasion shop that florists can run

Products sorted by occasion, colour and budget, with sizes, vase options and add-ons, edited by your own team in minutes when the week’s stems change, and connected to Shopify or your florist POS where its access allows.

  • Same-day cut-offs by postal code

A customer enters the delivery postal or ZIP code first and sees whether same-day is possible, the cut-off for that zone and the delivery fee, before they fall for a bouquet you cannot get there today.

  • Card messages and delivery notes

A card-message field with a character count, suggestions for sympathy and new-baby wording, and delivery notes for buzzer codes, hospital wards or funeral-home timing, all printed on the order ticket.

  • Substitution and freshness policies in plain words

Every product page says what happens when a stem is unavailable, how long the flowers should last and what you do if they arrive damaged, which heads off most refund requests before they start.

  • Wedding and event enquiries with a portfolio

A separate path for weddings and events: a portfolio by venue and season, the minimum spend stated or explained, and an enquiry form that asks for date, venue, guest count and palette.

  • Subscriptions customers can manage themselves

Weekly, fortnightly or monthly plans with renewal terms shown before payment, and a customer account where deliveries can be skipped, paused or cancelled online without calling the shop.

  • Peak-day readiness

Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day modes: a limited menu, earlier cut-offs, delivery-date selection and a banner set in advance, so the site keeps taking orders the shop can actually fulfil.

  • Occasion reminders with consent

An opt-in to be reminded before next year’s birthday or anniversary, collected with clear consent and sent by email or text, so one order becomes a yearly customer.

Compliance

The rules for florists, handled in the design

Florists sell online, promise delivery times and run subscriptions, and consumer protection rules cover all three. These are the ones the designs are built around, and each rule links to its source.

Sources gathered October 1, 2026. This is how our designs handle these rules, not legal advice: rules change and differ by province and state, so your lawyer or consumer protection office has the final word, and you approve every page before it goes live.

  • US

    Delivery promises you can keep

Under the FTC rule on mail, internet and phone orders, a florist needs grounds to believe it can deliver within the time it advertises; when it cannot, the buyer must be told and offered the choice to cancel and be refunded promptly. Same-day promises appear only for zones and times you can meet.

  • US

    Flower subscriptions that renew

ROSCA asks for the material terms before billing details are collected, the customer’s express consent, and an easy way to end the repeating payment. The FTC’s separate click-to-cancel rule was struck down by the Eighth Circuit in July 2025, leaving ROSCA and state auto-renewal statutes as the yardstick. Subscription designs show renewal terms beside the button and offer online cancellation.

FTC — Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act

  • Ontario

    Online orders from Ontario customers

Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act, 2002 requires certain information to be disclosed before an internet agreement is made, a chance to accept, decline or correct it, and a copy afterwards; it sets thresholds for when these rules apply. Checkout shows the delivery fee, total and terms, and order emails carry them. A replacement 2023 Act awaits a commencement date.

  • Canada

    Birthday and anniversary reminders

CASL counts a birthday reminder that suggests buying flowers as a commercial message: it may go only to people who agreed to it, must name your shop and must let them opt out. The reminder opt-in is separate from checkout, never pre-ticked, and says what will be sent.

    ISED — Canada’s anti-spam legislation

  • All

    An accessible online shop

WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the current W3C standard for accessible web content and the level most accessibility laws point toward. Product grids carry text descriptions of each arrangement, colour is never the only cue, and checkout works by keyboard and screen reader.

Questions

Florists: common questions

How much does a florist website cost?
A florist website of up to 25 pages is $1,500 paid upfront, or $150 a month for 12 months, and it is yours after the 12th payment. A larger site of up to about 100 pages is $4,000, or $400 a month. Hosting and care is $29 or $49 a month. Prices are in US dollars.
Can my flower shop website handle same-day delivery cut-offs?
Yes. The customer enters the delivery postal or ZIP code first and sees whether same-day delivery is possible, that zone’s cut-off time and the fee, before choosing flowers. You set zones, fees and cut-offs yourself and can change them on peak days, so the site never promises a delivery the shop cannot make.
Can a florist website replace wire-service orders?
It can take a growing share of them. Customers who search for a florist in your town and land on your own site order from you directly, without a relay fee, and SEO for florists helps those searches find you first. Many shops keep a wire service for out-of-area orders while building direct sales.
How should a flower subscription be set up online?
State the price per delivery, how often it renews and how to cancel beside the subscribe button, get clear consent before charging, and let subscribers skip, pause or cancel online. In the US, ROSCA wants the terms clear and cancelling easy, and several states layer their own automatic-renewal rules on top.
Does the shop work with Shopify or my florist software?
It can. We build the shop on Shopify or connect to the florist point-of-sale or order system you use where that provider’s access allows, so orders, card messages and delivery dates arrive on your order tickets. Two or more flower shops trading under one name get a quote: pick multi-location on the demo form.
Can you build a florist app or handle our marketing too?
Yes. Whether it is a shop website, an app, SEO or a marketing plan, send it through the request form below. A subscriber app or reminder-and-reorder app suits florists with many repeat customers, while most neighbourhood shops get more from a fast online shop and local search work before peak days.
Will my florist website rank on Google?
It launches with the technical SEO done: fast pages, clean structure, structured data, local pages and redirects from your old site. To keep climbing, a BOOSTD SEO plan from $149 a month runs 262 checks on your site every week, fixes what is safe to fix and gets the rest ready for your OK.No one can promise a position on Google, and we never do. Google warns businesses about anyone who does.
Can I get one of these florist website designs?
Yes. Each is a complete, ready-to-launch website design BOOSTD made for florists. Pick one and we make it yours, with your name, colours, photos, content and the licence or compliance details your industry expects, from $150 a month and yours after 12 payments.Approved client sites are shown with a “Client work” tag, and only with the client’s written permission.
