The short answer
What should a wedding venue website include?
A wedding venue website should let a couple check their date and guest count before anything else, then show each space with its seated and standing capacity, ceremony and reception layouts, and real photos of the room. It needs package pages with a starting price or clear guidance, a tour booking calendar, and your preferred-vendor list.

What every wedding venue website includes
A date checker before anything else
Couples enter a date or a month and their guest count and see straight away whether you are open, so the dates you have already sold stop generating enquiries and the ones still free get booked.
A page for every space
Each room, lawn or terrace gets its own page with seated and standing capacity, ceremony and reception layouts, a floor plan to download and photos of the space as it really looks on the day.
A tour and open-house scheduler
Couples pick a private tour slot or register for an open house and are sent a confirmation plus a reminder the day before, while your coordinator sees each visitor’s wedding date and guest count ahead of the visit.
Package pages that qualify the enquiry
Packages set out what is included, with a starting price or a clear explanation of how pricing works and every mandatory service charge folded in, so the couples who enquire already know they are in budget.
Preferred-vendor directory
Your approved caterers, planners, florists and photographers with links, and an honest note wherever a vendor pays you a fee to appear, which keeps referrals flowing both ways.
Enquiries straight into your venue software
Each enquiry carries date, guest count, ceremony on site or not, and budget band, and goes to your inbox, phone and venue management or CRM software where that system’s access allows.
Real-wedding galleries with permission
Galleries organised by space and season, using photographers’ images only with their licence and credit, so couples picture their own day and photographers are glad to share.
Midweek and off-season offers
A page for Friday, Sunday and winter dates with their own packages, where you can promote the dates you most need to fill without discounting your Saturdays.
Compliance
The rules for wedding venues, handled in the design
Wedding venues answer to fire-code capacities, liquor permits and price-advertising rules, and the photographs they show belong to someone else. These are the rules the designs are built around, and each rule links to its source.
Sources gathered October 1, 2026. This is how our designs handle these rules, not legal advice: rules change and differ by province and state, so your lawyer, fire department or liquor regulator has the final word, and you approve every page before it goes live.

Capacity and the posted occupant load
Ontario’s Fire Code limits the number of people in an assembly room to its occupant load and requires that load to be posted when it is more than 60 people. Capacities on the site come from those posted figures, never from a number chosen for marketing.

Alcohol at weddings in unlicensed spaces
The AGCO says a special occasion permit is generally needed to serve alcohol outside a licensed establishment or a private place, and that a private-event permit is for invited guests and may not be advertised to the public. Venue pages explain which spaces are licensed and when a couple needs a permit.
- Canada
Package prices with service charges included
Canada’s Competition Act treats a price that cannot be paid because fixed mandatory charges are added later as misleading, with an exception only for government-imposed charges. A compulsory service charge or admin fee is folded into any package price the site shows.

Preferred vendors who pay to be listed
The FTC’s Endorsement Guides expect a material connection between a business and the one it recommends, such as a referral fee, to be disclosed clearly. The preferred-vendor directory marks any vendor that pays you or that you receive a commission from.

Wedding photographs belong to the photographer
Under Canada’s Copyright Act the author of a work is normally its first owner, and since 2012 that applies to commissioned photographs too. Gallery templates carry a photographer credit and are filled only with images you have a licence to use.

An accessible website for a public venue
The Justice Department’s guidance says businesses open to the public must keep their websites usable by people with disabilities under ADA Title III, without setting a single technical standard for them. The designs follow WCAG 2.2 AA, with captions on tour videos and text floor plans.

Questions
Wedding venues: common questions
- How much does a wedding venue website cost?
- A wedding venue website of up to 25 pages is $1,500 paid upfront, or $150 a month for 12 months, and it is yours after the 12th payment. A larger site of up to about 100 pages is $4,000, or $400 a month. Hosting and care is $29 or $49 a month. Prices are in US dollars.
- Can couples check if our date is available on the website?
- Yes. A couple enters a date or a month and their guest count and sees whether you are open, and which spaces fit. You mark sold dates yourself, or the calendar reads from your venue management software where that provider’s access allows. Free dates lead straight to a hold request or a tour booking.
- Should a wedding venue website show prices?
- Showing a starting price or a clear guide to how pricing works usually brings in couples who can afford the date, and saves your coordinator from enquiries that will never book. If you show a package price, it includes any compulsory service charge, with taxes stated separately, so the figure is one a couple can actually pay.
- How should a venue show capacity on its website?
- Give each space its own seated and standing figures, with the layouts that produce them, such as rounds, long tables or ceremony rows. The numbers should come from the occupant load posted in each room under your fire code, never higher, and the floor plan should be downloadable so planners and caterers can work from it.
- Can couples book a venue tour online?
- Yes. Each coordinator publishes tour slots and open-house dates, couples book one online and get an email or text reminder, and you see their wedding date, guest count and budget band before they walk in. Tours stop depending on phone tag and voicemail.
- Can you help with a venue app or our marketing, not only the website?
- Yes. Venues can ask for websites, apps, SEO and marketing through the one enquiry form here, alone or together. A couple planning portal or seating tool suits busy venues with many booked weddings, and our venue marketing service handles search and paid campaigns once the website is converting.
- Will my wedding venue website rank on Google?
- It launches with the technical SEO done: fast pages, clean structure, structured data, local pages and redirects from your old site. To keep climbing, a BOOSTD SEO plan from $149 a month runs 262 checks on your site every week, fixes what is safe to fix and gets the rest ready for your OK.No one can promise a position on Google, and we never do. Google warns businesses about anyone who does.
- Can I get one of these wedding venue website designs?
- Yes. Each is a complete, ready-to-launch website design BOOSTD made for wedding venues. Pick one and we make it yours, with your name, colours, photos, content and the licence or compliance details your industry expects, from $150 a month and yours after 12 payments.Approved client sites are shown with a “Client work” tag, and only with the client’s written permission.
