Websites for immigration lawyers
Immigration lawyer websites in every language your clients read
Website design for immigration lawyers and attorneys whose clients apply from many countries: a page for every visa and program you handle, in the languages your clients read, an eligibility questionnaire that sorts enquiries without promising an outcome, consultations booked across time zones, and an encrypted place for passports and police certificates.
- Website from $150/month, yours after 12 payments
- SEO plans from $149/month
The short answer
What should an immigration law firm website have?
An immigration website needs a page for each program or visa you handle, written in the languages your clients read, plus a consultation booking that shows times in the visitor’s own time zone. It should state who is authorised to represent clients, with a link to the public register, and collect passports and documents through an encrypted upload, never email.

Built in
What every immigration lawyer website includes
A page for every program and visa
Express Entry, provincial nominee streams, spousal sponsorship, work and study permits, refugee claims and citizenship, or US family, employment, asylum and removal defence. Each page explains stages and documents, which is what applicants search for.
Languages reviewed by people who read them
Separate pages per language with hreflang, translated by your team or a translator and checked by a fluent representative, so a mistranslated eligibility rule never reaches a client.
An eligibility questionnaire that routes, not rules
A short set of questions sorts each enquiry by program and urgency, such as a court date or an expiring permit, and says that only a representative who reads the documents can assess eligibility.
Consultations across time zones
Open times appear in the visitor’s own zone beside yours, the fee and refund terms show before the calendar, and confirmations go out in both zones so overseas clients do not miss the call.
Authorisation you can verify
Each lawyer’s profile names the law society or state bar that admits them, and any RCIC on staff shows their College licence, each linked to the public register, which answers the “is this a notario?” worry before it is asked.
Encrypted document upload
Passports, police certificates, marriage records and tax documents go into an encrypted portal with a checklist per application, stored in the region you choose, never in an inbox.
How clients search
The searches and pages an immigration lawyer website needs
Immigration clients usually search against a date: a permit about to expire, a refusal letter, a hearing notice, a spouse waiting abroad. Many search on a phone, often from another country and in their own language, using program names such as “spousal sponsorship” or plain worries such as “visa refused, what now”. A relative’s recommendation still gets checked online for the lawyer’s licence, reviews and fees. More applicants now ask an AI assistant first, so plainly sourced program answers are the pages that get quoted.
- “immigration lawyer near me”
- “spousal sponsorship lawyer”
- “work permit extension lawyer”
- “study permit refused what to do”
- “immigration lawyer consultation fee”
- “removal defense attorney”
- “abogado de inmigración cerca de mí”
- “how to check if an immigration lawyer is licensed”
- 01
A page per program or visa
One page for each program you actually handle, such as spousal sponsorship, work permits, Express Entry or family petitions, with eligibility in plain words, the documents, the stages and a link to the official processing page. Each page answers its own search.
- 02
Consultation fees and retainers
What a paid consultation costs, what it covers, how refunds work and how retainers are quoted. Applicants abroad compare representatives on this page before they book, and a clear one filters out people only looking for free advice.
- 03
Lawyer and representative profiles
Each lawyer with their law society or bar admission, the languages they speak themselves and a link to the public register; any RCIC with their College licence line. This is the page people open after a cousin recommends you.
- 04
Reviewed language versions
Full versions of the key pages in each language the team works in, checked by a fluent person and linked with hreflang, so a search made in Punjabi, Spanish or Tagalog lands on a page written in that language.
- 05
Urgent matters
Refusals, removal orders, hearing dates and status about to lapse: what to do first, which deadlines may apply and how to reach the firm quickly. These searches arrive with a date attached, and the intake should put them ahead of general enquiries.
- 06
Who can legally help you
A plain explainer on authorised representatives, notarios and ghost consultants, linked to the registers. It answers a question applicants already search, gets shared in community groups and makes the firm’s own licence the obvious proof.
- 07
Intake and secure upload
An intake that asks for the program, country, language and any deadline, followed by an encrypted upload once a file is opened. Passports stay out of email, and staff have what they need before the first call.
SEO, AEO and GEO
How immigration lawyers get found in Google and in AI answers
Google Business Profile per office
Use the immigration attorney category Google offers, list every office separately, add the languages spoken and consultation hours, and keep the name, address and phone identical across directories. Ask clients for reviews after a matter closes, and answer them without revealing anything about the file.
Local Services Ads where Google runs them
Google runs Local Services Ads for immigration law in many US areas and some Canadian ones. Google decides eligibility, runs its own licence and background checks and grants its badge; the site supplies matching licence details, program pages and an intake that answers fast.
Answers assistants can quote
Program pages open with a short, sourced answer to the question in their title, name the reviewing lawyer and the review date, and carry LegalService and Attorney structured data. That short, sourced answer at the top is what AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity can quote and attribute; no special markup is needed for it.
Pages that keep up with policy
Immigration rules change by announcement, so each program page records the rule it depends on and its last review. When a stream closes or a requirement moves, the page is corrected or redirected the same week, which protects trust and keeps old traffic from landing on dead advice.
Compliance
The rules for immigration lawyers, handled in the design
Immigration marketing answers to two sets of rules: who may give paid advice at all, and how a licensed representative may advertise. These are the rules that shape a firm’s credential lines, translations and eligibility questionnaire, and what each design does about them.
Sources gathered October 6, 2026. This is how our designs handle these rules, not legal advice: rules change and differ by province and state, so your law society, state bar or the CICC has the final word, and you approve every page before it goes live.
- Canada · IRPA s.91
Only authorised representatives may advise for a fee
Section 91 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act bars anyone from representing or advising a person for consideration in an immigration proceeding or application unless they are a lawyer or another member in good standing of a provincial law society, such as a licensed paralegal, a member of the Chambre des notaires du Québec, or a CICC licensee. Every Canadian concept names the representative and the body that authorises them.
Justice Laws — Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, section 91
- Canada · CICC Code of Professional Conduct
RCICs on staff: registered name and the register’s address
Where a firm employs RCICs, the CICC Code of Professional Conduct governs how those licensees market: the name they are registered under must be prominent at or near the start of an advertisement, in its language, and written ads must carry the web address of the College’s public register. Consultant profiles follow that, beside the lawyers’ law society lines.
Justice Laws — Code of Professional Conduct for CICC Licensees (SOR/2022-128)
- US · USCIS and FTC
Who may give immigration legal advice
USCIS and the FTC warn that only attorneys, and representatives accredited by the Justice Department who work through a recognised non-profit organisation, may give immigration legal advice, and that a notario público is not a lawyer in the US. US concepts state each attorney’s bar admission, link the state bar directory, and point to the EOIR roster for checking accredited representatives.
- California
No translated titles that imply a lawyer
California Business and Professions Code section 6126.7 bars a non-attorney from literally translating titles such as “notary public” into “notario público” in advertising, and the Immigration Consultants Act (section 22440 and following) separately regulates non-attorney consultants. Spanish versions of an attorney’s site use a reviewed translation of the attorney’s actual title and never “notario”.
California Legislative Information — Business and Professions Code 6126.7
- Texas
Notary advertising in another language
Texas Government Code section 406.017 makes it an offence for a notary to advertise as a “notario” and requires a notice, in English and the advertising language, when a notary advertises in another language. Firms working with notary staff keep those services clearly apart from the legal services pages.
- US · ABA Model Rule 7.1
No eligibility promises or approval rates
Model Rule 7.1 forbids false or misleading communication about a lawyer’s services, and its comment warns that even truthful reports of past results can create unjustified expectations. The questionnaire never tells a visitor they qualify, and no concept shows an approval rate, a count of visas granted or a processing-time promise.
- Canada · PIPEDA
Consent and safeguards for identity documents
PIPEDA asks private-sector organisations to collect personal information with consent, for stated purposes, and to protect it with safeguards matching its sensitivity. Passports and police certificates are collected only through the encrypted portal, with a purpose statement and a named privacy contact.

Questions
Immigration lawyers: common questions
- How much does an immigration law firm website cost?
- An immigration law firm website of up to 25 pages is $1,500 paid upfront, or $150 a month for 12 months, and it is yours after the 12th payment. A larger site of up to about 100 pages is $4,000, or $400 a month. Hosting and care is $29 or $49 a month. Prices are in US dollars.
- Can an eligibility quiz on my website tell visitors whether they qualify?
- It should not. A questionnaire can sort an enquiry by program, family situation and urgency, and send it to the right representative, but only someone authorised who has read the documents can assess eligibility. Our questionnaires say so on the first screen and end with a reply from a person, never a score or a verdict.
- What is the difference between an immigration lawyer and an immigration consultant?
- In Canada, lawyers in good standing with a law society and licensed RCICs may both be paid to advise on immigration applications, but judicial review in the Federal Court needs a lawyer. In the US, immigration legal advice must come from an attorney or a DOJ-accredited representative at a recognised non-profit. A firm’s website should say which each person is and link the register. If you practise as a consultant rather than a lawyer, our page on immigration consultant websites covers the CICC Code in detail.
- How do immigration lawyers get clients online?
- Mostly through search and checked referrals. Applicants search for the program or problem in front of them, often in their own language, and a relative’s recommendation gets checked against reviews and the law society or bar register. Program pages, a clear fee page, a Google Business Profile listing your languages and quick replies to intake turn that attention into booked consultations.
- Should an immigration website be translated into several languages?
- Yes, if your clients read those languages, but each translation should be done or reviewed by someone fluent, not left to a plugin. Separate pages per language can rank for searches made in that language, and a reviewed translation avoids misstating a program rule. We build the pages with hreflang so search engines show the right version.
- How can my website protect clients from notario fraud?
- By making authorisation easy to check. Each representative’s profile names the body that licenses them and links to its public register, the Spanish pages never use “notario” for a non-lawyer, and a short page explains who may legally give immigration advice. That page also tends to be shared in community groups, which brings in enquiries.
- Will my immigration lawyer website rank on Google?
- It launches with the technical SEO done: fast pages, clean structure, structured data, local pages and redirects from your old site. To keep climbing, a BOOSTD SEO plan from $149 a month runs 262 checks on your site every week, fixes what is safe to fix and gets the rest ready for your OK.No one can promise a position on Google, and we never do. Google warns businesses about anyone who does.
- Can I get one of these immigration website designs?
- Yes. Each is a complete, ready-to-launch website design BOOSTD made for immigration lawyers. Pick one and we make it yours, with your name, colours, photos, content and the licence or compliance details your industry expects, from $150 a month and yours after 12 payments.Approved client sites are shown with a “Client work” tag, and only with the client’s written permission.
