Websites for fence companies

Fence company website design that turns backyard plans into quotes

Websites for fence companies and fence contractors: a quote that starts with the kind of fence and a rough line on the map, pool-barrier pages that never promise more than the local inspector will sign off, galleries of your own installs, and a plain note that you call in locates before a single post hole is dug.

The short answer

What should a fence company website include?

A fence company website needs a quote form that asks the fence type, height and rough length and accepts photos or a property survey, a gallery of your own installs by material, and honest pages on permits, HOA approvals and property lines. It should say you request utility locates before digging, show your licence where required and treat pool barriers carefully.

Built in

What every fence contractor website includes

  • A quote that starts with the fence, not a form

Tiles for privacy, pool, picket, vinyl, chain link and farm fence come first, then height, rough length, gates and old-fence removal, so each request arrives ready for an estimator to call.

  • Surveys and yard photos welcome

Homeowners upload the survey from their closing papers or a yard photo and sketch the line. You price a range from the office and book the walk only for serious jobs.

  • Pool barrier pages written with care

Barrier pages describe self-closing, self-latching gates and the local inspection, and never claim a fence is “code-compliant” before the inspector has seen it.

  • Permit, HOA and property-line answers

Plain-English pages on height limits, HOA approval and who decides where the boundary is, so the questions you answer on every call are answered before the phone rings.

  • Galleries sorted by material

Cedar, vinyl, aluminium, iron, chain link and ranch fence each have their own gallery of your installs, so a visitor who wants black aluminium sees black aluminium.

  • Spring rush, handled

When the backlog grows you switch the quote form to show your current lead time and offer a winter-booking list, so nobody expects a fence next week in April.

Found locally

How fence companies get found in the areas they serve

Google runs the Business Profile and Local Services Ads programmes and decides who qualifies. We build the site and the area pages to Google’s rules and keep your profile accurate. Badges such as Google Verified (which replaced Google Guaranteed and Google Screened in 2025) are Google’s to grant, not ours.

  1. 01

    Google Business Profile

Primary category “Fence contractor”, with services listed by material and fence type, photos of finished installs added through the season and the yard address hidden if customers never visit it.

  2. 02

    Local Services Ads

Where Google offers Local Services Ads for fencing in your area, it screens the business and may show its Google Verified badge; you apply to Google directly. Fencing is not on Google’s advanced-verification list for ads, which names locksmiths and garage door services.

  3. 03

    Town pages, not doorway pages

Google treats near-identical town pages as doorway abuse. Each one carries the permit office, local height limits, HOA patterns and installs completed there, or it is left out.

  4. 04

    Answer the property-line searches

Homeowners search how close to the line they can build and whether they need a permit long before they call. Short answers on the site, written for your towns, bring those searches to you first.

Compliance

The rules for fence companies, handled in the design

Fence work meets the rules underground and at the pool gate: utility locates before digging, barrier requirements around pools, licence classes and how a sale signed at home can be cancelled. These are the rules the designs are built around.

Sources gathered October 1, 2026. This is how our designs handle these rules, not legal advice: rules change and differ by province and state, so your state contractor board, local building department or lawyer has the final word, and you approve every page before it goes live.

  • US (all states)

Locates before the first post hole

Every state has a one-call law, and federal pipeline-safety pages urge anyone digging, homeowners included, to contact 811 first. Install pages say the company requests locates before posts go in, and the booking flow never offers digging on the day of booking.

PHMSA — National Safe Digging Month

  • Florida

    Residential pool barriers

Florida’s Residential Swimming Pool Safety Act sets barrier requirements, including a minimum height, no gaps or climbable parts and gates that open outward and close and latch on their own. Florida pool pages describe barriers as designed to those requirements, subject to inspection, not as guaranteed compliant.

    Florida Statutes 515.29 (Florida Legislature)

  • US (guidance)

Pool barrier guidance is not a certificate

CPSC publishes safety barrier guidelines for home pools covering height, gaps and latch placement, and local codes adopt their own versions. The site may cite the guidance to explain a design, but it never presents CPSC guidance as a law or an approval.

  • California

Fencing needs the right licence class

CSLB lists fencing as the C-13 licence classification, and licensees must show their licence number in advertising. The footer and quote forms carry the number, and services outside the licence classes held are left off the site.

CSLB — C-13 Fencing contractor classification

  • US

Three days to cancel a sale signed at home

A fence sold during a visit to the customer’s home falls under the federal Cooling-Off Rule: for most sales of 25 dollars or more the buyer can cancel within three business days and must be given the cancellation form in writing. Quote pages never say “all sales final”, and estimates signed at the kitchen table come with the cancellation notice.

  • New Jersey

Registration number in New Jersey ads

New Jersey’s home improvement contractor rules say registered contractors must display their registration number, beginning “HIC reg.#” or similar, in advertisements, documents and on commercial vehicles. New Jersey sites put the number in the footer and on every quote form.

Questions

Fence companies: common questions

How much does a fence company website cost?
A fence company website of up to 25 pages is $1,500 paid upfront, or $150 a month for 12 months, and it is yours after the 12th payment. A larger site of up to about 100 pages is $4,000, or $400 a month. Hosting and care is $29 or $49 a month. Prices are in US dollars.Call tracking numbers and any paid ads are billed by their providers, not by us.
Can homeowners get a fence quote online?
Yes, a range. The quote flow asks the fence type, height, rough length and gates, and accepts a yard photo or the property survey with a sketched line. You reply with a range and book the walk, and the written quote follows once the line, slope and access have been checked.
What should a fence website say about pool fences?
That barriers are designed to your local requirements, with self-closing, self-latching gates, and finished when the building department inspects them. Florida and many towns set specific barrier rules, and CPSC publishes guidance. We never call a fence “code-compliant” before the inspector has signed it off.
Should a fence company website answer property-line questions?
Answer the common ones in plain words, for your towns: height limits, whether a permit is needed, HOA approvals and how close to the line people usually build. Say clearly that the owner or a surveyor confirms the boundary. Those answers bring searchers in long before they are ready to call.
Do I need to mention 811 on my fence website?
It helps. Every US state has a one-call law, and saying you request utility locates before any post hole is dug reassures buyers and explains why installs are not same-day. In Ontario the request goes through Ontario One Call. We never suggest that locates can be skipped.
Will my fence contractor website rank on Google?
It launches with the technical SEO done: fast pages, clean structure, structured data, local pages and redirects from your old site. To keep climbing, a BOOSTD SEO plan from $149 a month runs 262 checks on your site every week, fixes what is safe to fix and gets the rest ready for your OK.No one can promise a position on Google, and we never do. Google warns businesses about anyone who does.
How long does a fence company website take to build?
About 4 weeks for a local site and about 8 weeks for a larger one, counted from the day we have your content, logo, photos and licence details. A larger site is planned with an advisor first, so its timeline is confirmed in writing before any work starts. We aim to launch before spring, so the season’s first quote requests reach the new site.
Can I get one of these fencing website designs?
Yes. Each is a complete, ready-to-launch website design BOOSTD made for fence companies. Pick one and we make it yours, with your name, colours, photos, content and the licence or compliance details your industry expects, from $150 a month and yours after 12 payments.Approved client sites are shown with a “Client work” tag, and only with the client’s written permission.
