The short answer

What should a cleaning company website include?

A cleaning company website should let a visitor price a clean by bedrooms and bathrooms, book a first visit and choose a weekly or fortnightly repeat without calling. It should say exactly which insurance and bond the company holds, name the products it uses instead of saying “non-toxic”, and ask for text-message consent with its own unticked box.

Built in

What every cleaning company website includes

  • A booking calendar that sells the repeat

Visitors choose a window and then a frequency, weekly, every other week or monthly, so the site books the regular visit that pays your cleaners’ wages, not just a one-off. Skips and pauses happen online.

  • Price by bedrooms, bathrooms and extras

A short quote wizard turns home size, pets and add-ons such as inside the oven or windows into the price range you set, so callers stop asking “how much for a three-bed?” and start booking.

  • Badges that explain themselves

“Insured”, “bonded” and “background-checked” each link to one sentence on what the cover really is, entered from your own policy and bond documents, so a careful customer gets an answer and you avoid an overclaim.

  • A product page instead of “eco”

Your green cleaning page lists each product by name with its label, and shows a certification only where the product or your service actually holds it. Vague words like “non-toxic” stay off the site.

  • Consent-first reminders

Visit reminders and rebooking texts go only to customers who ticked a separate, unticked box, with the business named in the wording; every message carries a way to stop, and the opt-in is logged with its date.

  • Commercial bids with a scope sheet

Office, clinic and school pages lead to a walkthrough request, and a downloadable scope sheet lists rooms and frequencies, so a facilities manager can forward something concrete to whoever signs the contract.

How cleaning and maid services get found in the areas they serve

Google runs the Business Profile and Local Services Ads programmes and decides who qualifies. We build the site and the area pages to Google’s rules and keep your profile accurate. Badges such as Google Verified (which replaced Google Guaranteed and Google Screened in 2025) are Google’s to grant, not ours.

  1. 01

    Google Business Profile

Primary category “House cleaning service” for residential work, or “Commercial cleaning service” or “Janitorial service” for contract cleaning, with each service listed and a service area instead of a home address you never receive visitors at.

  2. 02

    Local Services Ads

House cleaning is offered in Local Services Ads in many US markets: Google screens the business and may show its Google Verified badge, which replaced Google Guaranteed in 2025. You apply to Google; the site is where those searchers check you out.

  3. 03

    Neighbourhood pages with real detail

A page per area only where you have regular clients, written from what you clean there: condo towers, older houses with radiators, student lets. Swapping the town name on a template is what Google calls a doorway page.

  4. 04

    Reviews after the third visit

Regulars are the best reviewers, so the review request goes out after a repeat client’s third clean rather than the first, through your own email or text tool and only to people who agreed to hear from you.

Compliance

The rules for cleaning and maid services, handled in the design

Cleaning websites get into trouble with words more than with licences: “bonded”, “green”, “non-toxic” and “kills germs” all carry legal meaning, and so does every reminder text. Each design below handles them in the way these sources describe.

Sources gathered October 1, 2026. This is how our designs handle these rules, not legal advice: rules change and differ by province and state, so your insurer, your state or provincial consumer protection office or your lawyer has the final word, and you approve every page before it goes live.

  • US

    Say what “bonded” really covers

Insurance glossaries describe a fidelity bond as covering an employer’s loss from an employee’s dishonesty, which is not liability insurance and does not automatically repay a customer. A false “bonded and insured” claim risks being deceptive. The badges link to a plain description of the cover the client actually holds.

NAIC — Glossary of insurance terms

  • US

    No unqualified “green” or “non-toxic”

The FTC’s Green Guides say broad claims such as “eco-friendly” are hard to substantiate, and that “non-toxic” implies safety for people and the environment and needs scientific evidence. Green pages name the products used and the specific, provable benefit instead.

FTC Green Guides, 16 CFR Part 260 (eCFR)

  • US

The Safer Choice logo is not a company badge

EPA’s Safer Choice Standard says the label belongs on qualifying products under EPA review, and describes a separate service certification for cleaning providers. A cleaner without that certification may say which certified products it uses; the design never shows the logo as the company’s own seal.

    EPA — Safer Choice Standard

  • US

Disinfection claims stay within the label

Disinfectants are regulated pesticides, and EPA has warned against false or misleading claims about killing viruses, including claims tied to cleaning services. Pages say which registered product is used and follow its label; nothing says “EPA approved” or promises to eliminate germs.

EPA — Advisory on disinfectants making false and misleading claims

  • US

    Written consent for marketing texts

The FCC’s TCPA rules require prior express written consent for autodialled marketing texts, and a customer can revoke it by any reasonable means, honoured within ten business days. Booking forms carry a separate, unticked text-consent box naming the business, and every message offers a way to stop.

    FCC — 47 CFR 64.1200 (eCFR)

  • Canada

CASL for reminder and rebooking messages

Canada’s anti-spam law requires consent, sender identification and a working unsubscribe for commercial emails and texts, with opt-outs honoured within ten business days. Canadian sites log consent, put the mailing address in message footers and keep the opt-in box unticked.

Questions

Cleaning and maid services: common questions

How much does a cleaning company website cost?
A cleaning website of up to 25 pages is $1,500 paid upfront, or $150 a month for 12 months, and it is yours after the 12th payment. A larger site of up to about 100 pages is $4,000, or $400 a month. Hosting and care is $29 or $49 a month. Prices are in US dollars.Your scheduling or payment software stays on its own subscription; the site connects to it.
Can clients book a recurring clean online?
Yes. A visitor picks a first window, then chooses weekly, every other week or monthly, and the booking lands in your inbox or scheduling software for you to confirm. Clients can skip or move a visit from a link, so the office stops spending mornings on reschedule calls.
Can the website show an instant price for a house clean?
It can show a price range you set, built from bedrooms, bathrooms, pets and add-ons such as the oven or interior windows. We label it a range and confirm the price after the first visit, because a cluttered three-bed and a tidy one are not the same job.
Can I say “bonded and insured” on my cleaning website?
Only if you hold both, and it helps to say what each covers. A bond for a cleaning company is usually a fidelity bond that repays the business for an employee’s theft, which is different from liability insurance for damage in a home. Each badge links to a sentence written from your own documents.
Can my site advertise green or non-toxic cleaning?
It can say exactly what you use and why. The FTC’s Green Guides treat unqualified “eco-friendly” and “non-toxic” as claims that need strong evidence, so the design names each product and its specific benefit. The EPA Safer Choice logo appears only where a product or your service is certified for it.
Do I need permission to text reminders and offers to clients?
For marketing texts in the US, yes: the TCPA rules require prior express written consent, and in Canada CASL requires consent and an unsubscribe in every message. The booking form carries its own unticked box naming your business, every text offers a way to stop, and each opt-in is logged.
Will my cleaning company website rank on Google?
It launches with the technical SEO done: fast pages, clean structure, structured data, local pages and redirects from your old site. To keep climbing, a BOOSTD SEO plan from $149 a month runs 262 checks on your site every week, fixes what is safe to fix and gets the rest ready for your OK.No one can promise a position on Google, and we never do. Google warns businesses about anyone who does.
How long does a cleaning company website take to build?
About 4 weeks for a local site and about 8 weeks for a larger one, counted from the day we have your content, logo, photos and licence details. A larger site is planned with an advisor first, so its timeline is confirmed in writing before any work starts.Online booking and reminder texts are switched on last, after you have tested a booking yourself.
Can I get one of these cleaning website designs?
Yes. Each is a complete, ready-to-launch website design BOOSTD made for cleaning and maid services. Pick one and we make it yours, with your name, colours, photos, content and the licence or compliance details your industry expects, from $150 a month and yours after 12 payments.Approved client sites are shown with a “Client work” tag, and only with the client’s written permission.
